Reactee
We’re about causing reactions in our line of work so I was intrigued with Reactee and their text T-shirts.

Here’s the rundown: Pick your personalised slogan and keyword, they’ll print it on a T-shirt and ship it to you. You can then engage the world by wearing it. People are enticed to text your custom keyword to 41411 (I believe it’s only US at the moment). A message you’ve carefully crafted will be automatically sent out by Reactee. The messages returned to others can be updated at any time, so you can change this message to reflect the latest news.

Interesting concept. Another example of ambient intimacy perhaps? Link via swissmiss

Crate man
Spotted alongside one Melbourne’s northern suburb train stations was Crateman and his crew, performing what looks like some wall climbing activities. If only the milk brands or perhaps the public transport operators were this creative!

Considering the rumblings about public transport in Melbourne over the past few months, this is a little ray of sunshine for commuters in the morning who now are about a dollar less well off. Read more »

Keys Promotion
More and more we are seeing BTL promotional campaigns distracting our daily routines. This grab for attention is something we at Accure are faced with constantly. The distraction however needs to be cleverly constructed to deliver the message in a way that is memorable and delightful and not just for ‘creative’ sake. The latest from the US is a good example of how to generate massive ‘front-of-mind’ brand equity for a relatively low cost. Read more »

NYC Condom Campaign
Its still early in the year but this promotional campaign must be leading the way for a high impact promotional giveaway. The New York City Condom giveaway is a fine example of how to integrate promotional products into the broader marketing mix and drive home CAUSE realted message. NYC already distribute free condoms at a rate of about 1.5 million monthly but this is how they got their latest exposure. Read more »

Talking Urinal Cake
Now that the summer of cricket is over (even though we’re still shell shocked that the English are going home with a trophy), its time for Boony and Beefy to move over and surrender their talking antics to a “Talking Toilet Babe”. Read more »

There are some interesting billboards out there, but generally its not a medium you can get too engaging with. They’re big, seen by many and parades our “hit-centric” culture. But just as its all starting to blur into a white cloud, along comes Mini Cooper and their “Talking Billboards”. First things first though, they don’t actually talk like say Boony would, but they do spit out personalised messages to a legion of Mini drivers on the road. Read more »

Back in April last year we posted some information on Semacodes or QR codes as they are referred to in Japan. Well we have now discovered a great site called “All about mobile life” that enables people like us to create our very own QR code to put on our blog or where ever the hell we like. The point is, our content becomes that little bit more mobile. Read more »

Street Wars

There is much talk these days about pushing marketing messages through the line. In an age where the 20 second spot on TV just doesn’t cut it anymore and marketing material is used as coasters, we continously look for new avenues to engage people in real life.

Urban Games or Pervasive Gaming is a relatively new trend to rise from some of the most urban places on our globe. Pervasive gaming takes digital gaming onto the streets and redefines the playground as we know it. It provides an interactive and connecting experience for the players and possibly for the brands who dare incorporate this into their marketing mix. The obvious aside, could this be a prelude to social interaction in our digital age? Read more »

Driv-e-mocion

If you haven’t experienced some form of road rage in your travels, then you must be either a Buddhist Monk or live somewhere in Alice Springs. This little device we found on apophenia and popgadget is produced by Driv-e-mocion and may just be the beacon of light to end all your blood vessel popping antics. Read more »

With the summer deciding to show its head for a brief moment the other day, we wanted to give you a glimpse at whats happening in the outdoor space. Yes it looks like something Alessi would produce but this Nik Nowak creation called the Music Booster is set to take outdoor beach parties and events to a more mobile level. With the ability to take it anywhere, anytime without the need for an external power source, this baby is ready to rock. I’m thinking Sprite, Video Hits, Idol could all have good use for this.

Coke being the innovative company that they are seem to have already got the jump on everyone else. While their Mobile Cruiser, used to cart around Coke products is already in use, it doesn’t play any funky tunes - A stylish and practical design nonetheless by Studio Red. We haven’t seen it in Melbourne yet, only on coolhunter so if you spot it let us know and we’ll post the spottings here on Carpark.
