Not that many readers would care but we’ve worked out what we’re doing with brandslappers.com - Take a a sneak peak. It’s the back end of a print advertisement we’re running for this year’s APPA awards.

What’s Joost? I hear you ask. Well first of all, it’s pronounced ‘juiced’ and not ‘Yoest” as my Dutch friend with the same name and I would have thought. Joost is an interactive software for distributing TV shows and other forms of video over the web using peer-to-peer TV technology. It’s near TV quality video streaming to a PC or Mac. Read more »

We’ve been on a website and blog refinement journey as you may have noticed. We decided to redesign our website to add a bit more information while keeping it simple, clean and easy to navigate. Hopefully, we’ve achieved this. We adopted the same line of thought for Carpark - simple clean lines and big fonts to bring some consistency to our two platforms. I must admit though, the site still uses Flash and requires at least some knowledge of code to build. Now we’re not trying to take anything away from Leon here (good job Leon!), but this morning I was captivated by one of the most unique and basic websites I’ve come across. Read more »

Have you ever walked past someone on the street and asked in true Aussie fashion “hows it goin?” without really wanting to find out how its really going. Its like a form of saying a quick “hi” and communicating purely to show that we can. This is probably my first impression of the new buzz around the blogosphere - Twitter. Read more »

I’ve been a fan of Google Earth since it was introduced, I don’t know the precise reason, but theres a lot to be said for flying in and out of cities around the world like a superhero. In 2006, Nokia and agency FarFar created Pjotro, this is what they had to say:
In order to create some buzz before the release of the Nokia N91 music phone we created a somewhat odd character by the name of Pjotro. He loves music so much that he became music. A viral clip of his brake through performance on tv led to a site where you could explore his background and test his greatest innovation: The Musical Suit. A totally viral campaign with no media back up.
This has turned out to be quite a meme. Tino Buntic started the whole initiative here by settling to showcase 2000 out of the 55 million or so blogs in the blogosphere. No pre-requisites, no judgement, just a first-in-first-serve type system. As it turns out, this little project has morphed into a great snapshot of the our evolving culture and a great visual aid for the long tail of information. Read more »
Back in April last year we posted some information on Semacodes or QR codes as they are referred to in Japan. Well we have now discovered a great site called “All about mobile life” that enables people like us to create our very own QR code to put on our blog or where ever the hell we like. The point is, our content becomes that little bit more mobile. Read more »
