This has turned out to be quite a meme. Tino Buntic started the whole initiative here by settling to showcase 2000 out of the 55 million or so blogs in the blogosphere. No pre-requisites, no judgement, just a first-in-first-serve type system. As it turns out, this little project has morphed into a great snapshot of the our evolving culture and a great visual aid for the long tail of information.

The Blogebrities, A-listers and resonating voices collaged together on an even playing field with the every day voices, which in their own little communities are keeping the conversation alive.
I’m glad to say that Carpark has been included on this list (yes, my ugly mug is on there somewhere). It has certainly fuelled a bit of a link frenzy for those involved but whats even more exciting is that Joseph Jaffe, (one of those resonating marketing voices I mentioned earlier) has tabled the idea of turning the 2000 Bloggers collage into the cover of his new book “Joining the Conversation”. What an absolutely great fit and true to the wiki nature of the book! It looks as if the wisdom of crowds will see this happen. I’ll be buying the book now and while there’s no doubt it will be an informative and good read, I get to say I’m on the cover of a book.
The image up top was made by Ilker Yoldas, who together with some other clear-thinking individuals have taken the project and mashed it with their own flavour and perspective. How 2.0 and proof this exercise has solid meme qualities.
Cool! i’m see myself! I’m the one that looks like elvis! hahaha.

This is so contagious! Thanks to Tino, everyone on the list is getting a lot of link love including myself. Isn’t this fun? Spread the link love! :D
Cool blog btw.
I was in the first batch lucky for me.
I found a couple of Australians too, one is Pro Blogger, and another Around the world in One Bra.
Very cool! Of course with my luck I’ll end up in the spine right next to the guy that we’ll later find out was burying bodies in his basement.
Good gravy, but we’re a handsome bunch. Thanks for the link love!
It’s a pretty cool project. I’m having a hard time keeping up with all the recent links, but what fun to try!
