The official launch of Boonanza 2 - The Battle of the Tashes started today with the announcement of Boony’s return and the premier of his mate, Ian “Beefy” Botham. Along with the usual commentary team, this year’s Ashes Series and VB One Day matches between the Aussies and the Poms will host special comments from Boony and Beefy in the Battle of the Tashes!
In an extension to the technology used last year that had Boony responding to broadcast pings during the VB One Day Series, Boony and Beefy will be at each other’s throats during the heated matches exchanging remarks. The interactive technology used in the figurines we produced this year has been refined to feed off each other. You’ll be sure to hear Beefy respond to anything Boony gives out. There are also push button features on this one as well as power up and power down options just in case you didn’t want to hear them exchanging comments in the early hours of the morning.
We know the Poms have been pretty smug about their triumph last year, but with Boony padding up again in his promotional best for VB, the team will have a 13th man to help them make sure the Ashes are returned to their rightful place Down Under. More at Boony is Back
Fantastic!
You have out done your selves this year.
If you have any say in this, can I suggest you tell VB to make there TV ads for this promotion (that i am sure will be classics) available via You Tube (www.youtube.com) in order to gain that viral effect. I would love to get them onto my website!
TIA
Molly
Thanks for your comments Molly. Have you got your Boony and Beefy? I’m sure they’ll be a bit of fun for the battle.
Unfortuneatley we don’t have much say in whether the ads will get to youtube, but perhaps you can check back on our site once the ads are out.

Haven’t got my Boonie and Beefy yet. Have to find two cartoons of beer to get the codes from (unless of course you wanted to send me a pair and I would viral the s@%t out of them!). So hopefully soon.
Keep up the great work.

A talking Bruce!!!
Wouldn’t that be Special!!!!!!!
I like your efforts here Danny Boy, you can add my name to the petition.
