If you haven’t experienced some form of road rage in your travels, then you must be either a Buddhist Monk or live somewhere in Alice Springs. This little device we found on apophenia and popgadget is produced by Driv-e-mocion and may just be the beacon of light to end all your blood vessel popping antics.
This LED device attachs to the back window of your car and allows you to type out short messages for all your fellow drivers to see. Put in the wrong hands, I’m sure there will be some interesting phrases that would come out of this (most of which we would rather not publish), but for all the nice people out there, this smart little device can replace all those ugly little “Baby on board” signs that look oh so dreadful on your brand new Audi. It can even produce smiley faces for the SlashDot reader in you.
The Driv-e-mocion model comes in 3 models - 2 messages, 3 messages and the 5 messages however it appears that they have sold out of all of them. We can see the guerilla potential in a product like this in a consumer promotion. All smart remarks aside, the TAC might get some bang for buck out of their “Arrive Alive” campaign with something like this to push the message through-the-line. Alternatively, the AFL could really get things going at the end of one of those jammed packed Collingwood V Essendon games.
So there it is, some shameless idea pitching from us for all to see. Even though there may be some road distraction issues…OK may be a lot of road distraction issues to work through, we’d love to be involved with anyone or any brand interested in getting this duck to fly.
